My husband and I were fishing down in Delacroix Louisiana. We have only started to salt water fish the last 3 yrs.
We found a spot and got settled and started fishing. I was using a spinning real with 20lb braid line and a 16lb monofilamont leader with a dead shrimp for bait. I got a lite bite and started reeling it in, I fought it for about 12 minutes. My husband kept saying it is a Stingray.
I finally got it to the surface and it was a 37 inch Black Drum. Needless to say I was exhausted but happy. This is my biggest catch.
