I remember getting the call while he was out on the field of this deer he killed. He was so excited he could have cried, he sure did gag from excitement. Which is super funny to me because I’ve never seen that before. Harlow taught me that every hunt has value, whether you kill anything or not. That you have to understand the appreciation that goes into hunting. When he killed this deer, I could hear how appreciative he was. And how in love with hunting he was.
To most it’s hard to understand, I’m a good example of that. Before him I didn’t understand the love for it. But I’m doing this without him knowing, but all I can say is I’ve never seen someone be so tentative and loving of hunting. It might not have been the biggest dear to everyone. But it was to him. The determination and patience he had for this kill was long but good.
